An opening credits designed and curated for the show Shadow and Bone. Explored various story telling methods & experimented with effects & overlays to achieve a cinematic result.
One major challenge throughout this project was to create a realistic book opening scene, without using an existing template. Every single asset, from the cover, to the spine and finally to the pages has been made from scratch and the animated carefully to create a dramatic opening scene.
The entire sequence is meant to give a hint into into the characters lives and personalities. Each overlay and effect is a subtle form of storytelling without giving away any spoilers for the main plot.
